List Of Roads To Be Closed During Mashujaa Day

Makutano- Mwea-Embu highway will remain closed for a considerable number of hours on Wednesday as Wang'uru Stadium is set to host this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The government through Central Region Commissioner Wilfred Nyangwanga said the road will be temporarily closed in order to reduce traffic congestion and enable smooth flow of the dignitaries’ vehicles heading to the stadium.

"We need to educate people in general and the voyagers that we will bother your voyaging plans since we will momentarily shut down the street. All explorers expecting to utilize the street are therefore encouraged to utilize elective courses," Nyangwanga said.

Those expecting to head out to Embu have been encouraged to utilize Sagana-Kagio-Kagumo-Embu street.

Those going from Embu have been encouraged to redirect from Samson corner and head to Kutus - Kagio street to interface with streets prompting their individual objections.

He talked in a nearby inn in Mwea town, Kirinyaga County during a morning meal meeting with the media group that will cover the Mashujaa Day festivities.

The provincial manager is hopeful that Kirinyaga will have an effective occasion. He said the arena will be opened at 4 am to permit those that have been welcomed via cards to get to the arena.
