Alarm has been raised in Embu County after unknown people stole electricity metres from a church.

According to reports, the said incident happened in Mbuvori, Ngira ward. The thieves are said to have stolen the metres also from the homes of the residents.

The locals have called upon the government to look into the matter as the cost of electricity metres is very high.

Sources revealed that about two weeks ago, electricity metres were stolen from AIPCK Karau Church. During that week, the church members had a difficult time holding the events in their church.

The theft which has again happened this time round is also expected to bring more problems to the church members.
