A photo of slain Olympian, Agnes Tirop, cuddling with her husband, Emmanuel Ibrahim Kipleting, has emerged. This is after the Athletics world 10000 m champion who also held the record was found dead with stab wounds in the neck and abdomen in her Iten home on the dawn of Wednesday, October 13.
According to reports from the police, Tirop's husband is cited as the main suspect. It is reported that Emmanuel Ibrahim Kipleting has since been at large since the incident happened and the police are tracking him down.
Many Kenyans and moreso leaders from the Riftvalley region have since condemned the act and want the perpetrators apprehended as soon as possible. Uhuru Kenyatta has also come out and condemned the evil act. He termed Agnes Tirop as a true patriot who led Kenya to many successes moreso during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He has urged the police to hasten investigations and ensure justice is well served.
