On the day she went missing on Friday, Mr. Komu stated that he dropped his wife to work on that early morning before going to the car wash. At the car wash he noticed something unusual as his wife's hand bag and phone were still in the car.
After the car wash, he later on drove back to his wife's offices to drop off her handbag and phone only to be told that she never showed up to work that same very morning. Her body was later on found at City mortuary.
Wambua was a lead witness in several corruption cases in the country. Detectives investigating the murder case revealed that Wambua was kidnapped, killed and her body dumped in Ngong forest.
