The saddening news of the death of Olympian Agnes Tirop had shaken the nation and more so the athletics Kenya in general. Kenyans have began sending condolences to the family of the deceased after reports the she was possibly murdered by her husband. Ms. Agnes was found dead in her home with her body having stab wounds in the abdomen region.
Politician and her county Governor Hon Kipchumba Murkomen has sent his sincere condolences to Agnes' family. In a post in his Facebook page, the North rift leader stated being deeply saddened by the athlete's death. He has urged and is hopeful that the police will quickly arrest the perpetrators of the cruel murder. The honorable went on to send his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fellow athletes of the deceased. Agnes had represented Kenya in women's 5,000 metres in the recently concluded 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
