For Nine months 58 years old police man who was identified as constable Reuben Kimutai was lying unconscious in hospital bed without the knowledge of his family who were searching for him.
Kimutai was involved in a car accident as he was crossing Jogoo road in Nairobi on 20th December 2020. Police took him to Kenyatta national hospital for treatment but they could not identity him because he did not have any identification cards with him . He was registered as unknown person . The police who took him there never went back to see him.
In hospital Kimutai's finger prints were taken which revealed that he comes from Timboroa in Baringo county.
Kimutai was accused of negligence of duty because he never reported to duty and there was no communication from him. His salary was also stopped. Before the accident Reuben was working at the Madakadara Court
Kimutai gained consciousness on 15th September where he communicated that he was a police.
