Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has shown us that humanity still exists.
Today Governor Wangamati has offered Yvonne full scholarship and a new home.
Yvonne is a teenage mother who delivered her child few weeks to her KCPE Exams,She had to stay at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for a whole month because her child was born without anal opening.
She later left her child to the hospital under the care of her grandmother and went to do her exams against all odds, she scored 370 marks which earned her a position at Kolanya Girls National school.
At home she shared a rented mud walled house with her baby, her sister and grandmother. The house was only 700 shillings but they could not afford because of the tough economy
Governor Wangamati, paid them a visit and cleared all their rent arrears and moved them to a new house which is much better as they wait for their home to be completed.
The Governor also enrolled her twin sister to Kibingei Friends School. Yvonne's baby has been booked an appointment for at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for colostomy and surgery.
Yvonne's life is a story of pain as they were displaced from mount Elgon due to conflicts. Her dad was attacked and nobody knows about his whereabouts.
Today Governor Wangamati has brought hope into Yvonne's life.
