A woman and her daughter are reported to have been hacked to death in Tharaka-Nithi County.
According to reports, the former husband of the lady is the prime suspect behind the atrocious act. The sad incident is reported to have happened at Kabururu village.
The area deputy county commissioner Fred Masinjila said that the man killed his ex-wife moments before beheading his daughter. The suspect is then said to have fled after killing the two.
The man killed the mother while the daughter was watching. The six-year-old girl was terrified as she saw her mother being slashed to death. The ruthless man asked the girl not to cry. After killing the mother, he turned on the girl and killed her too.
Police officers arrived at the scene and started investigations. The two bodies of the deceases were taken to the Chuka County Referral Hospital Mortuary.
