Police officers in Makueni are holding a 74-year-old grandmother, who was found in possession of 38 rolls of bhang and 15 liters of Chang'aa
Darajani area assistant administrator Meshack Musyoka who spoke to the press said that probes into the matter are underway.
Her arrest comes barely few days when three brewers were also nabbed with 1200 litres of Chang'aa hidden along the river banks.
Police said the three suspects were arraigned last week and sentenced to three years jail term.
The area assistant chief is now urging the local to refrain from illegal business activities that would land them in trouble.
He asked the locals to take part in productive economic activities that would raise their living standards.
Meanwhile, the elderly woman will be arraigned in court on Thursday this week when police are complete.
"She will be arraigned on Thursday upon completion of our investigations. Our people should from this illegal businesses that would land them in trouble," he said.
