Kaptagat residents in Kimwarer have been slapped with a huge blow over uncountable loses of their properties including the livestock and other valuable items following the ongoing floods in the area.
According to the pictures shared on social media a renown blogger Abraham Mutai on his verified Facebook page, a number of Kimwarer farmers have lost their livestock which died due to the ongoing heavy rainfall that flooded the area.
The flood has occasioned a tremendous damage to Kimwarer residents as it swept away many valuable properties including the houses rendering some residents homeless.
"Residents of Kaptagat village in Kimwarer are counting huge loses after the floods across the villafe, destroying houses and killing their livestock. Dams" Abraham Mutai wrote.
The ongoing heavy rainfall has caused a lot of damages in many parts of country where several areas have flooded leading to tremendous lose of life and properties.
On a different account, a bridge connecting Migori and Homabay today collapsed in the morning after a heavily loaded truck that was transporting sugarcane to Sukari sugar company fall in the river. Residents said that it was as a result of heavy rainfall experienced in the area.
