Armed Robbers Lock 9 Nakuru Prime Bank's Staff in Toilet Before Stealing Ksh. 2.3M

Detectives in Nakuru are in pursuit of armed robbers who raided Prime Bank on Wednesday Evening in Nakuru.

According to police report, the robbery incident which happened at 4pm led to the stealing of Ksh. 2.3 million.

Detectives reports filed at Nakuru Central Police station say the gangs brandished in a home made firearm, knives, panga and a hammer before making their way into the banking facility's hall.

Upon making an entry into the premise, they forcefully lock up 9 staff members into the toilet before ransacking the drawers where they made away with the cash.

"CCTV footage showed that a KK security guard on duty, Tobias Juma, opened the main door of the bank for the robbers. After entering the banking hall, they then commandeered the members of staff to the toilets and locked them inside before they ransacked the drawers and stole KSh2.3 million," police report reads.

Police recovered the home-made gun, ksh 1000 note, Huawei phone, and a hammer from the crime scene.
