Governor for Meru Hon Kiraitu Murungi made a development tour to the municipality where he inspected several projects including the cabro works at Riverland area,Kanyuru River rehabilitation and cabro paving,the facelift at the sunbird-kensilver stage and the ongoing works at the main stage and the modern mega Makutano fresh produce market which will decongest the area and provide space for those who wish to do business 24 hours.
The governor said he is impressed by both the completed and ongoing works because he has promised dust free towns and markets so that their people can do business in conducive environment.He said they will continue to deliver on the promises they made to the people of Meru county.
Murungi said another project that will transform the face of Meru town will commence in the coming weeks which will be the advertising and issuing of the contract for the construction of the first dual carriage in Meru,starting from Gikumene primary school upto Meru National Polytechnic.
