A motorbike rider with one pillion passenger got involved in a deadly road accident which led to his death. The passenger on it was left in a critical condition after the accident. According to the Kegogi Police Station reports, the accident happened at Metembe junction in Kisii. The deceased's demise has since been a big blow to his family as he was the breadwinner in the family of four.

The accident happened at night when the rider carrying the passenger lost control of the the motorbike before swerving off the road and rolling through to a culvert. He got stuck in there as the passenger who had been thrown to the other side of the road raised alarm.

The police officers in the night patrol were attracted by the loud wails of the villagers that arrived at the scene trying to save the rider's life. It was later discovered that the passenger was the motorbike's owner and that the rider was his employee. Unfortunately, the rider lost his life while the bike's owner was rushed to Nyamira County Hospital where he is receiving medication. The deceased's body was taken to the morgue awaiting burial.
