The National Police Service has come under heavy criticism over the past few days after the disbandment of the Special Services Unit that is part of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations by the Acting Inspector General of Police, Noor Gabow.

The Internal Affairs Unit is in charge of investigations into the conduct of the police officers in the Special Investigations Unit of the DCI.
The National Police Service Commission is however, in charge of the discipline of the senior officers within the service as per the reports that we have.
The Commision is this morning said to be in Mombasa where they are conducting a disciplinary hearing of the Senior Police Officers within the National Police Service.

According to the Official Social Media Handle of the National Police Service Commission, the hearing has commenced in Mombasa this morning.
Here is part of the statement from NPSC, "The National Police Service Commission Disciplinary Committee that is headed by the Commissioner Lilian Kiamba, MBS, OGW is conducting a disciplinary hearing of some Senior Police Officers who are based in Mombasa."
