Rescue mission is still on for one other miner on the seventh day of rescue mission on Wednesday December 8.
The three miners were retrieved at 2 am and moved to Bondo sub-county hospital for medical treatment, Bondo Deputy County Commissioner Richard Karani told the press on Wednesday morning.
The three recovered miners total to eight, the number of gold miners saved alive. One miner rescued on Saturday, lost his life.
It has not been easy to serve the trapped miners with food and water, leaving many afraid that they might died of hunger and dehydration. Rescuers teams were in constant talks with the trapped miners via pipes that was fixed on the collapsed goldmine.
“We often use the pipes to talk to them and pass them water mixed with glucose to help them survive," Mr Nobert Aketch, the official spokesman of the gold miners said.
Families used to get updates on their kins each hour as at the time the unfortunate tragic incident took place on Thursday.
