The residents of Kaburengu in tears after an accident occured at the Kaburengu Bridge along the Webuye-Eldoret Highway. The accident which took place at around 10 am Saturday 21/08/2021 has claimed the lives of six people as others nurse injuries.

The accident involved a fuel tanker, a lorry, a saloon car, a probox car and a pickup. All the vehicles were crushed beyond recognition. Confirming the incident is Bungoma East traffic police boss Idris Halkaalno who said that the accident occured after the driver of the lorry, which was transporting murram to Uganda lost control of the vehicle ramming on the salon car and the bursted into flames. The saloon car then hit the pickup before hitting the probox car.

The injured we're rushed by residents to the Webuye County Hospital where they are nursing injuries.
The area boss has urged motorist to be careful especially when they approach Kaburengu Bridge which has become a black spot over the recent days.
