Kenyans living in the following counties to brace themselves for heavy rainfall in the next seven days from today. According the report shared through the official social media platforms, very heavy downpour is expected in the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the lake Victoria Basin and Central Rift Valley including Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, West Pokot, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Busia, Migori, Baringo, Nakuru, Narok and Laikipia counties.
Reports indicate that morning rains are expected to occur over few places. However afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several parts of the country. Night showers are also expected over several places in the mentioned counties. Therefore residents urged to prepare adequately before that time comes.
The North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are also expected to receive very heavy downpour over several places in the next seven days. Detailed regional weather forecast period indicates that morning rains are likely to occur over few places as well afternoon showers and thunderstorms over several places.
The South Eastern Lowlands including, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow until Monday next week. Finally the Coastal parts of the country are likely to receive rains as from tomorrow afternoon. Therefore residents urged to carry their umbrellas.
