Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati has lost his mother.
Mama Selina Nasike Wangamati was found dead in her house in Kanduyi today morning.
The deceased was battling pressure for long.
Here is what the governor's press unit Bungoma wrote in their Facebook page;
Other leaders who have condoled with the family of the first time governor included senate speaker Ken Lusaka who said;
Condolences to my brother Governor Wycliffe Wangamati and his family following the death of their matriarch Mama Selina Nasike Wangamati.
"May God give the entire family circle of Mzee Patrick Wangamati strength and fortitude during this difficult time of grief," said Lusaka
Rest in Peace Mama Selina.
Bungoma County Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga wrote;
We have lost a committed spiritual leader, a firm pillar of hope and a prayer warrior for our county.
MAMA Selina Nasike, the dear mother to Bungoma Governor was theologically brilliant with deep faith.
Her influence stretched beyond the church to communities that counted on her for support, wisdom and counsel.
We will miss her gentle spirit and endless love for everyone.
"Our prayers to friends, Bungoma residents and the entire H.E Governor Wycliffe Wangamati's lineage during this sorrowful moment," said Wambilianga.

The body lies at Lifecare hospital mortuary in Bungoma town.
