A day after the directorate of criminal investigation officials who have been investigating a murder of Daniel Mwangi, a business man killed in the eve of new year revealed that the man was indeed killed by men hired by his father, the residents of Mweiga in Nyeri county have gone to the streets to demand justice.
They carried twigs, placards and a picture of the deceased. They demanded that the justice system should act on the criminals as soon as possible since they have been waiting for this for the longest time. They however thanked God that they have now received some closure of the murder.
Speaking about the incident, one resident said it was so sad for him to loose a close friend and a customer. He was still shocked that a father would go to such extent and organize the murder of his own blood.
They described Daniel as an hardworking young man who loved everyone around him.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
