The residents of Kitui today are mourning more than ten people who died after their bus which was carrying them plunged into a river. According to the news which was shared on the social media platforms, the bus plunged into a river which was full of water after a heavy rain in the region.
According to the news which was shared from the scene, the bus was carrying choir women who were traveling to certain function ahead of the tommorow service. The police officers are currently at the scene trying to rescue other people who are still inside the bus. The Kitui residents who were available also tried to rescue more than five people from the river. According to the latest news which was shared from Kitui County by various news media in the country, more than fifteen people have died due to suffocation of dirty water.
It is very sad to the family and friends of the dead people since the incident has happened unexpectedly. All kenyans are now urged to come together and pray to the families and friends of the people who lost their lives. Remember to wear mask and maintain social distance so that we can overcome this deadly disease called covid-19 in our country.
