The KCSE students have been successfully going on with their much awaited national exams. There have not been any technical hitch from the side of the government. The exams have been reaching the centers in time under tight security from the government.
As the students do exams, some of them have been forced to boycott these exams. Some candidates never reported for these exams. For instance,Education CS Professor Magoha had to look for one such candidate from Ageng'a Mixed Secondary School in Migori County.Unfortunately, the girl was missing from her father's home too.
On the sad note,a KCSE girl has lost her life in the hands of a 27 year old man in Kisasi area in Kitui rural sub-county.The witnesses said that the candidate was killed by her boyfriend in Kivasya market. They said that her parents had rented for her a house in the market to save her from the stress associated with travelling during the examination period.
The girl's neighbours however confirmed that they heard the commotions. When they came to help, they found the student's lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. The man then attempted suicide by stabbing himself around the neck with the same knife he used to kill the girl.He was however rescued and rushed to Kitui County Referral Hospital where he is receiving treatment before being charged with murder. The man is believed to be a student from Wote Technical College.
