JUST IN:The DCI in Search of 14 Secondary School Students Who Jumped from a speeding Matatu.

The police are now in a hunt for 14 students from Fred's Grammer Mixed school. The students fled from the matatu as it was taking them to Sagana Police station.

The students had boarded a 2NK at Karatina en route Nairobi. Trouble started when the driver noticed that the students were smoking bhang and taking alcohol.

The concerned driver warned the students but his warning fell on deaf ears. The students warned the driver to mind his own business and concentrate on taking them to their destination.

John Maina, the driver decided to drive the Matatu to Sagana police station, however things didn't turn out as planned.

"The students who were quick to notice the sudden detour, hurriedly disembarked from the vehicle as it made its way to the station. They dangerously jumped from the windows of the matatu, leaving their half smoked joints, half-filled bottles of liquor and luggage in the vehicle,” added the DCI.

The school principal was summoned at Sagana police station to help with identification of the students.
