Woman Rescued After Failed Suicide Attempt At Likoni Ferry, Mombasa

Police officers at Likoni ferry together with Coast guards, have rescued a woman at channel waters after her suicide attempt failed.

The woman however didn't say what caused her to attempt the suicide. She has been taken to Portreitz hospital for assessment as she waits for further actions.

We thank God she isn't dead but I want to advise police officers that, the victims should be taken for mental treatment and counselling once arrested ,but not in court for jailing as it can worsen the affected's situation.

I also want to urge the government, that those who survive after failed suicide attempt, to be offered a job opportunity to keep their minds busy.As times are hard and the hard economic situation could be the cause of all that.

Members of public also should learn to speak out if faced with trials. As that is the only was you people can understand your problem and help out.

Anyway my reader, what is your take on this?
