Police in Kakamega are holding a man who ruthlessly attacked another for responding to a call of nature at a public spot.
Jared Otieno, 30, was captured on Tuesday evening within Kakamega's Dharau area, minutes after the attack on the 24-year-old victim. "The casualty had taken a leak at a public place negligent of an unmistakable notice inscribed on an adjacent wall, "Kojoa Hapa Uone!". No sooner had the casualty completed his business than Otieno arose and rained blows on his face, thoroughly distorting his jaws and leaving him with a bruised eye," police said.
Endeavors by inquisitive spectators to calm an enraged Otieno who had taken county by-laws into his own hands yielded little outcomes, forcing them to call cops from Kakamega Police station who showed up right away.
"As the suspect was ushered into a waiting police land cruiser, the seriously assaulted victim who couldn't open his mouth because of the extent of his wounds, was rushed to Kakamega General Hospital for specialized medication," police added.
