Linus Kiplagat Rono, a 24-year-old man from the Kiplabotwo area in Bomet county is currently recuperating in Tenwek health centre after he cut off his private parts. It is said that the man decided of cutting off his tools before throwing them away after his lover termed them as being useless.
Confirming the incident, Geoffrey Korir, the chief in the area said that blood was oozing from the man's private area as he bled profusely, his family was rushing him to the hospital to make sure that he gets necessary treatment before things fell apart. According to his mother, she saw him limping and was forced to ask what transpired, it is then that the victim revealed he had done away with his genitals.
Preliminary investigations showed that the man is a regular drug abuser in his locality, a vice that could have led him to take the ungodly action. The administrator said that following the incident, he has mobilized youths through the Nyumba Kumi initiative to see that drugs are not abused.
