Thika Road traffic police officer Justus Oracha who confirmed the incident said the crash involved a car and a truck carrying eggs.
According to Oracha, the truck was ferying eggs to Thika town while the two priests were heading to Nairobi town aboard a car when the accident happened.Justus said the truck lost control following a tyre burst, leading to the collision.
Witnesses further told the press that those who lost their lives in the crash were two SDA priests who were headed to work.
Their bodies were transferred to Jomo Kenyatta University Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
The two motor vehicle wreckages were towed to Kasarani Police Station awaiting police inspection.
Police have launched investigations into the Sunday morning accident.
The accident happened only two days when three construction workers died on the spot along the busy road.
