Kenyans inhabiting distinguished local and regional destinations have woken up to a powerful message from the National Hospital Insurance Fund.
Speaking via its official Twitter page account ,the National Hospital Insurance Fund announced Ksh 250 penalty to all kenyan citizens who will make their monthly NHIF contributions after the 9th day of every month.
"A monthly penalty of KES 250 is subcharged for any payment made after the 9th of every month," NHIF stated.Giving a glimpse of the instituted procedure to follow in the journey of paying the NHIF penalties, the National Hospital Insurance Fund cited M-PESA as the simple criterion to follow.
The National Hospital Insurance Fund cited the following procedure as the established manoeuvre way to use while making NHIF penalties via M-PESA:
1. Go through the M-PESA menu, click on Lipa Na M-PESA then Pay Pill.
2. Enter 200222 as the NHIF Business Number.
3. Enter your National ID as the Account Number and enter the letter 'y' at the end i.e. 22997848y.
4. Enter KES 250 for every month defaulted e.g. if you have defaulted for 4 months enter KES 1,000 as the amount.
5. Enter your PIN Number.
6. You will receive a message confirming that you have successfully paid the penalty.
