Kameme FM and TV runs a program known as 'Njanjo ya Muturire' every saturday. The program aims at uniting family members who may have separated at one point in their lives. The 102- year old mother identified herself as Irene Njeri Karukia. She claimed that her son John Mutugi who was born in 1965 got lost in 1991. According to the sister to the lost son Grace Muthoni, heresy has it that her brother was last seen in Malindi in 2004. The attempts to reach him failed after the person who was directing them to where John was disappeared and switched off the phone.Photo courtesy -John Mutugi
John's mother claims that she has great hope in God that her son would still return home. She further claims that she still holds John's inheritance piece of land. Indeed, this is a good motherly love. Kameme Journalist Man Nyari promised to do his best to find John and re-unite him with his mother.
