The body of a nurse, 31 years old, was discovered in her Eastleigh, Nairobi, home.
According to legend, Esther Waceke Munyua, a doctor in a hospital in Lang'ata, committed suicide by drinking poison after struggling with depression for a long time.
The dead was discovered unconscious in her bedroom with a bottle of beer, several pills, and a note that said, "DEPRESSION IS REAL." This is according to the official police report.
Investigators are currently reading through the suicide note. They believe the note details significant events in her life.
Her coworkers praised her as a consummate expert and top-tier healthcare provider.
The last time anyone saw her was Thursday when she was reportedly returning to her Eastleigh home.
Her body was scheduled to be autopsied on Tuesday so that the cause of her death could be determined.
Doctors and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Office are looking into the case, trying to determine what could have prompted the deceased to take her own life.
In the meantime, the deceased was sent to the hospital's mortuary for an autopsy.
