Kakamega residents are still in shock after a rather disturbing incident was witnessed in Madala village in Shinyalu.
Sources revealed that a middle aged man is believed to have killed his wife before he proceeded to stay with her corpse inside the house for a full whole week. The man was apprehended by police officers and is currently in custody.
At the time of writing this article, the motive that led the 46 year old man to murder his wife is yet to be established and so is the reason for keeping the body without informing authorities.
Incidences of domestic violence have escalated in the last couple of months across the country as financial crisis continue to hit hard on households.
Couples are always advised to engage the services of qualified counselors to solve their disputes. This comes barely a week after a man killed his side chick in Githurai before his vehicle stalled around Witeithie. This happened after the lady allegedly threatened to leave the suspect.
