According to Kenya's foreign ministry,89 Kenyans have died in the Gulf nation in the last two years, with more than half of them being female domestic workers.Only three deaths were reported in 2019.
The most common causes of death are cardiac arrest, natural death,or suicide. Many families are skeptical, and rights groups believe the deaths are linked to an increase in domestic worker abuse.
Officials in neighboring Uganda have also expressed concern about the recent deaths of its nationals in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
