Road Accident

Two People died on the spot in a road Accident And Others Injured Along The Nakuru-Nairobi Highway

Over the last few months, the number of reported vehicle accidents in Kenya has risen dramatically, with many Kenyans losing their lives on the roadways. Over 1600 people have died in road accidents since the beginning of the year, according to figures from the Ministry of Transportation's NTSA.

The issue of motorist recklessness has been highlighted as the major cause of many accidents, with drink driving and substandard roads being further factors linked to the rise in reported road accidents.

The government has been calling with motorists to be more cautious on the road in order to avoid the type of accidents that have been killing people on a regular basis.

Earlier today, two people were killed on the spot and others were badly injured after their vehicle was engaged in a horrific road accident in Kinungi, Naivasha, on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

For years, the location has taken the lives of several people. Drivers must exercise greater caution, particularly throughout the holiday season.
