Body Of a Kalenjin Woman Finally Buried At Night After Mourners Were Attacked By Bees During The Day

The body of a Kalenjin woman was laid to rest last night after the funeral service was disrupted by a swarm of bees during the day.

The bees that came from no where attacked the mourners forcing the burial service to a stand still and the body taken back to the morgue.

According to the locals the bees had come to stop the burial since it was held at the husband's home land in Sotik yet he had not paid the bride price.

Accordingto the Kalenjin culture, a woman should be buried at her father's land if the husband fail to pay the bride price.

The woman was laid to rest at her father's land in Olenguruone, Nakuru County. The burial service was done at night to comfort the spirits of the ancestors in accordance with Kalenjin culture.
