A 37-year-old man is currently being held in police custody in uasin Gishu County after allegedly beating his sibling brother to death in a land tussle. Alex Kipkosgei had committed the heinous act on Friday evening February 12th and has been on the run until yesterday Saturday evening when the police smoked him out of his hut hiding. He was allegedly helped by his other brothers who are still at large.
"A 37-year-old man who has been on the run since yesterday on suspicion of murdering his brother over a land dispute has been arrested. The suspect, Alex Kipkogei, was smoked out of his hideout at Ray Farm, Uasin Gishu today afternoon. Alex, together with his other sibling who is still at large had descended on their younger brother beating him to death over a piece of land in Chesitek-Keiyo North. The suspect is being processed for arraignment, as detectives intensify their search for the second suspect identified as John Lotema.
