Emotions went high on Wednesday evening as a KDF officer who graduated three weeks ago was laid to rest. The 29-year-old is a case among many of the thrilling cases in the dying health sector in Bomet County. In a revelation by the family, the young father died after a delay of referral by a hospital he was taken to.

Brian Kipngetich of Tuiyobei in Konoin constituency was involved in an accident in Koiwa after the motorbike he was riding had a head-on collision with a lorry. He was rushed to the Cheptalal hospital for emergency treatment.

The profusely bleeding officer needed an immediate evacuation, the referral to Tenwek Hospital took hours later as the county ambulance had no fuel.

Well-wishers after back and forth with the county government on ambulance fuel rushed him to the facility after raising funds for fuel. He succumbed on the way to Tenweek where postmortem results revealed that he died due to excessive bleeding.

Leaders across the county attended the funeral except for the governor who is now on spot for the same, the leaders called out the county government administration for sleeping on their job as many complaints about the health sector are on the rise.
