The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was on Saturday invited to attend the Convention of All Israel Churches of Kenya, an annual conference meeting that brought together representatives of Akorino together in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
According to Bishop Isaac, Raila will be the main guest.
The ODM leader arrived in the evening in a private jet Registration Number 5Y-DSB, and was given an heroic welcome.
According to a past publication by the Standard, the chopper is owned by Royal Media Services Founder and Chairman S.K. Macharia, alongside another one Registration Number 5Y SGM.
Captain Thomas Samoei who spoke with the Standard revealed that such kind of choppers consume fuel worth Sh 30,000 per hour, with an insureanxe ranging betweeen Sh 8 million to ten million, according to the flying hours the pilot has made.
For a while now, Macharia has been a close ally and supporter of the ODM leader, and has accompanied him to a number of events amd meetings held across Mount Kenya Region.
He even hosted the former Nasa co-principal at his Murang'a Residence, urging him to take the Mount Kenya Region with the seriousness it deserves.
