Miguna's Request to AG Justin Muturi Shortly After Being Sworn In

Controversial lawyer Miguna has made a request to Attorney General (AG) Justin Muturi shortly after being sworn in.

The AG was sworn in by Chief Justice Martha Koome at the Supreme Court of Kenya on Tuesday, November 1.

The former National Assembly Speaker is now a Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and will now officially assume the office of the AG, succeeding former AG Paul Kihara who occupied the position since 2018.

Speaking after being sworn in, Muturi pledged his commitment in discharging his constitutional duties to his level best.

Miguna's request

Shortly after being sworn in, the lawyer has now requested the AG to assist him in converting Kshs 45,000 old notes he allegedly had before his controversial deportation to Canada.

"When Uhuru Kenyatta conspired with Raila Odinga, blew up my house, kidnapped and detained me incommunicado, I had Sh 45000 in my pocket," he claimed.

"I would like AG Muturi to replace my old notes with the new ones," he said.

The lawyer jetted into the country on October 20th and graced Mashujaa Day Celebration at Uhuru Gardens.
