Police Get Suicide Note After a Deputy Headteacher And a Student Are Found Dead in Narok

Police in Narok found a suicide note after a Deputy Headteacher and one student died in a suspected suicide in two separate incidents in North Narok Sub-County.

According to a police report, the first incident occurred at Father Daiyia farm, near the town of Narok where the body of a 19-year-old boy was found hanging from his bedroom. "Police received information from the boy's father who reported the death of his son.

When they visited the scene, they found the body hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck, "said Narok police commander Kizito Mutoro. Kizito added that the body had no visible injuries and no suicide note was found.

Residents of Father Daiyia farm mourned the deceased, referring to him as a quiet boy who interacted well with the public. "The news of his death was very shocking, I knew the boy from a young age because he loved the company of my children," said Ms Joyce Naeni, a resident of Father Ntaiyia area.

In the second case, the body of Lengesurai Primary School deputy head teacher George Olonana was found hanging from a tree with a sisal rope around his neck in the Olchorro area of ​​North Narok Sub-County.

Olonana's body, 34, had no physical injuries but the deceased had left a suicide note asking his fellow teachers and family to forgive him for the action he had taken. The two bodies were transferred to Narok County Referral Hospital awaiting autopsy.

Following the incidents, the county police chief has appealed to people suffering from depression to seek guidance and advice from close relatives or religious leaders who can encourage them.

The commander reminded them that suicide does not solve any problem, nothing that every challenge they face in life has a solution if it is handled properly.
