The day was not promising for deputy president William Ruto after his rally in the Nyanza region turned sour. While at a roundabout in Kondele, Ruto was attacked by goons who were opposing him. They attacked his convoy concentrating more on the vehicle he was using.
The goons threw stones at his vehicle causing a lot of damage. It was unfortunate that the car was not a bulletproof and the stones found their way in shuttering the windows to pieces.
Many politicians have come out to condemn the incident including exiled Lawyer Miguna Miguna. The black Lexus was attacked badly but fortunately the DP did not sustain any injuries. The side windows all shuttered to pieces while the back windscreen had a stone pass through it. The front mirror was however not destroyed.
Kenyans have expressed their thoughts on the ugly incident and advised the DP to get a bulletproof vehicle that will assure him of safety whenever he goes. Follow the page to receive more news updates daily.
