Only African Country Where Prostitution Is Legal

According to World Population Review magazine, many African countries, as well as those on other continents, consider 'prostitution' to be one of the most unlawful activities, because it encourages poor behavior, particularly among young children. Many of the women who work in this industry are constantly harassed for doing so in public, hence most of them work at night when there are fewer people on the streets.

The women have had a lot of problems, especially when they are caught by police officers who want to be bribed to let them go. Prostitution has been legalized in Dakar, Senegal's capital city, and ladies are reportedly free to work in brothels at any time without being disturbed by officers or necessary heads.

The rule that enables women to operate requires them to register with police officials and present their certificate before being allowed to operate. According to a poll conducted in the city, ladies are always offered rubber condoms and HIV/AIDS prevention tablets. Women who say that they are working hard to care for their family since there are no jobs available are given top priority by health facilities.
