A report that has been released at the coast of Kenya shows that schoolgirls and teens in the region are selling their bodies to older men for them to buy basic things such as sanitary towels.
It has been reported that most of the abuses happen along the beaches, where girls frequent most of the time to hook up with the s*x angry adults.

The report shows that the high level of poverty in the coastal region is the main reason why girls are ready to offer their bodies to get money in return.
"'Girls are lacking basic things, which leaves them vulnerable for these older adults to exploit them by offering them money in exchange for their bodies," said one member of the group that carried out the research after a loose translation from Swahili.
They also noted that it is becoming hard for them to stop the vice because many cases in court take years before they are completed.
Affected counties are Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale.
