A 58 year old man identified as Joseph Njenga is in police custody after he surrendered and confessed to killing his 30 year old girlfriend by stabbing her using a kitchen knife.
Kasarani police station OCPD Anthony Mbogo revealed that the man went home on Monday night alongside the lady.
On Tuesday, he surrendered himself to the police at Kasarani police station claiming that he killed her as he was trying to defend himself after the lady turned into a ghost.
A boda boda rider who was a neighbour to Joseph said that the incident came as a huge shock to them since he is a kind man and always pays them double for transport services. They are still wondering what got over him on the fateful day. He suspects that his judgement was impaired because he was under the influence of alcohol.

Residents are now complaining that murder cases have been on the rise in the area.
The lady's body is lying at a morgue awaiting a postmoterm.
