A family in Nandi Central's Kaminon village is mourning the loss of their 31-year-old kin, who died in a tussle with his younger brother today morning over an alleged Sh10 balance owed to one of them.
In the doleful 6am incident reported by the brothers' mother, her sleep had been cut short by the dawn melee, after the two who share a common compound descended on each other with blows and kicks.
By the time she trudged her way to separate the combative fruits of her womb, Brian Mwale Ilondanga, 28 (the younger brother) brandished a panga, with which he inflicted life-threatening cuts on his elder brother's face.
The elderly woman had then raised distress calls which attracted her neighbours, who rushed the profusely bleeding victim to Kapsabet Referral Hospital. Unfortunately, it was too late for the medical team to save his life.
Kaimosi-based officers have since arrested the suspect, who will answer to murder charges Monday, January 31, 2022.
