There was a heavy police presence in Kisii Town after Deputy President William Ruto’s motorcade made its way to the town after a church service that was well attended by a majority of Kisii leaders. Ruto’s entourage made its way into the busy town bringing the area to a standstill.
Thousands of residents turned up in the town to get to see and listed from the deputy president who is currently addressing them. From his speech, Ruto made it clear that his 2022 plan for the region is to become an agricultural hub that can easily feed the entire region.
Ruto’s motorcade was blocked by the crowds that had gathered as they screamed and shouted his name and the hustler narrative which has continued to gain popularity across the nation in recent days. Several leaders spoke during the session which was headed by the area deputy governor.
