Agirl of 17 years old committed suicide at Ekona village in Kisii county. According to area chief Mr Kinara Toga,the girl killed herself because she did not want her father to discourage her from nvolving herself in love affairs.She had been friends with a village adult.Mr Tonga said,the girl had been told to concentrate in her studies by her father but she felt that the father was unfair to her.On Thursday evening, she went to sleep at her adult friend's house.When she came home yesterdsy morning ,the father tried to inquire where she had slept.photo :Home.
She got annoyed with the father and entered her room bitterly. Then she took cows' spray and swallowed it secretly. She entered bed to wait for death to take her.When the poison pains exceed her,she rang her secret lover.He came hurriedly and carried her on amotor circle. The police from Nyamaiya station,took the body to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for postmortem and investigations.They termed the vice one of the worst cases of child abuse in the county.photo:The police.
Kiisii county police boss Mr.Jabel Munene,identified the body as Anne Osebe17 years old, of Ekona village.He assured the public that his police officers had started investigations on the real cause of the death.
