Cleopas Malala who is a close associate of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto, and a stonch member of Kenya Kwanza, had perplexed the citizens in the manner in which he addressed the nation concerning the police officers. In his statement, he made remarks that are quite demeaning to the police officers.
He actually stated that the police officer position is somehow worthless, therefore, the police recruitment body should not even put restrictions and many requirements during the recruitment process. Such requirements includes the checking of tooth, whether the person has some scar an indication of the previous injury and many more.
His remarks regarding police officers' job had made one of the cops who was providing security to his honourable Musalia Mudavadi alongside Moses Wetangula to hide his face while Malala made such remarks. He also used that chance to lobby votes as he claimed that he would wish to take over from his honourable Wickliffe Oparanya who is the current Kakamega governor.
