Police have arrested a 31-year-old woman accused of knocking down a hawker in a hit-and-run incident along southern bypass, Nairobi County.
The Friday morning incident caused a huge traffic build along the busy road with both lanes not moving.
Witnesses accounts revealed, Keziah was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado travelling towards Nairobi town when the incident happened.
"She was moving at a high speed. She failed to follow the installed road signs along the busy road. Unluckily, she lost control of her vehicle, veered off the road and knocked down a fruits vendor," said Shadrack Mutai.
The victim was rushed to MP Shah hospital, Nairobi County for emergency treatment after sustaining serious injuries from the morning accident.
The latest development comes only two days when two people lost their lives in a similar incident along Thika SuperHighway.
