Suspect Arrested as 8 Nandi County MCAs Are Conned

A section of Nandi County MCAs have come out to decry an alleged con game by a popular bus service in the county.

Addressing the press on Tuesday, the devastated MCAs blamed a Mash Poa bus service booking agent for allegedly conning a section of MCAs who wanted to travel to Mombasa for official duties.

According to the MCAs, eight of their colleagues together with other residents were conned transport money but never received the services. They said with o their colleagues were conned a total of Ksh18,400 before they nabbed the suspect who had gone into hiding, and handing him over to the police.

"We are happy because our County Assembly members have netted one person who has been conning people and is in police custody. We urge the police to take appropriate actions against this man because he has conned MCAs who wanted to go to Mombasa. He also conned Nandi county residents including an old woman who was left stranded in Kapsabet for two days," stated one MCA.

"This man by the name Henry Magak has been purporting that he is working with Mash Poa company which operates Kakamega, Kapsabet Mombasa has conned our 8 MCAs a total of Ksh18,400 and has been on the run. There are many other Kenyans who have been conned by this same person, but luckily, we managed to arrest him today and he is in police custody right now," added another MCA
