"If I Die In The River, Take Care Of My Son" Last Message By Woman Who Died In R. Enziu Accident

Painful details have been revealed of the conversation between Judy Mutinda the secretary of St. Joseph Seminarian Church and her mother before she met her death in R. Enziu in Mwingi. Speaking during the requiem mass planning for the 32 people who died during the accident, priest Jeremiah Munyoki said that Judy had foreseen her death.

He said that Judy had called her mother to inform her that they were at R. Enziu waiting for the overflowing waters to subside. She told the mother that if she dies in the river, she should know that her last born has been swallowed by the waters.

"Mum we are are at waiting for the waters to subside, but incase we are swept off by the river know that your last-born has died in their river. But don't worry since I have a son named after your husband. Please take care of him", said Judy before they were involved in the deadly accident.

Priest Munyoki has now said that he regrets giving out the church bus and he added that he is responsible for the death of the 32 people. He continued and berated how a church member identified as Steve said on Monday that he was sure that he would not see the end of this year. "All of you are younger than me but when someone is about to die he knows. I know am not going to finish this year", said the priest alluding to Steve's words.
