A 50-year-old police officer in Narok County was arrested on suspicion of defiling a 16- year-old girl who had been detained at the Sakutiek police station.
Corporal Anthony Leteipa Nanyukie is said to have sneaked into the police cells and took the girl to his house within the station and defiled her overnight.

The following morning, the officer returned the minor to the cells before his colleagues could notice.
According to the girl, the accused gave his phone number and told her that once she returns back home, she pack her clothes and come to his house so that he could marry her.
The girl opened up to a female officer during the morning inspection. The officer in turn reported the matter to the OCS.
The victim was later taken to Narok Referral Hospital where she underwent a medical examination.
Corporal Nanyukie is expected in court on Thursday for the ruling.
